Your space. Your choices.
Here is exactly what AHERI CARE HUB does with what you share, who can see it, and how to stay safe.
Private by default
Your chat is private. Only you and the AHERI team can see it.
No names for schools
Schools see summaries only, never names or messages.
You choose
You decide whether a report is shared and with whom.
Kept safe
Your information is stored securely and only used to support you.
Easy to leave
Use Quick exit at any time. You can ask us to delete your account.
You always know who can see it.
The list on the right applies on the web, in the app and on WhatsApp.
Who can see what
Younger users
The Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 treats a person under 18 as a child. For children, AHERI asks for the agreement of a parent or guardian before using personal data, with exceptions such as protecting life or supporting education and health.1

Quick exit and discreet mode
Women can switch on discreet mode. AHERI CARE HUB then shows a neutral name and icon on the phone, and notifications hide their content. Students and youths can use Quick exit too.
When we may need to act
AHERI CARE HUB is confidential, but not secret from everyone at all times. If we believe you or someone else is in serious danger, we may need to involve a safeguarding lead or the right authority. We will tell you before we do, wherever it is safe to do so.
Your data, your rights
In danger now?
Do not wait. Call 112, or go to Get help now for more numbers.2
Clear rules for our team, too
Questions are optional
We may ask if you are a girl or a boy, a woman or a man, and who you would feel safer talking to. You can always skip.
Your location
We only ask where you are if you may be in danger, and only with your yes. Only the Care Team can see it, never your school.
Checked by team leaders
To keep you safe, AHERI team leaders may read a chat or join it. Every time someone opens a case, the system records who and when.
When your case moves
If another team member takes over your case, you are told, and your history moves with it.
Official numbers only
AHERI only contacts you from official AHERI numbers, such as our WhatsApp +234 708 809 0699. Never from a personal phone.
Your case record
We keep a record of what happened and what we did, so your support is safe and fair. How long we keep it will be set with our legal adviser.
